Do any of you guys take vitamins to improve your skin, hair, mood, etc?

Any noticeable benefits?

>> No.8844612

I take a fish oil and it makes my skin less blotchy

>> No.8844625

somehow i ended up taking a vitamin C, D, E, fish oil and zinc pill daily lol

tried biotin for healthier hair and it made me break out in terrible cystic acne that i'm still trying to get rid of today. i've got acne scars now as well. so fucking angry

How do you know that the biotin caused it and not just coincidence?

>> No.8844658

1 Fish oil + 1 Zinc pill daily or gtfo from EFFAY

>> No.8844664

>>8844644
did some research and apparently biotin is notorious for causing break outs in most people. there's no scientific evidence to back this, just claims. but i guess a moderately healthy person with a normal diet gets enough biotin a day without supplements.

i'd obviously get the occasional pimple or two before, but nothing like the painful, deep under the skin bumps i got afterwords.

What zinc/fish oil supplements do you use? I'm not sure where to start looking for quality since there are so many.
Is it all the same shit?

It's basically all the same but the potencies are what's different.

>>8844658
I take 50 mg of zinc once a day and two 1240 mg fish oil pills a day. No idea if that's enough but have you noticed anything beneficial? I haven't.

>> No.8844686

Fish oil, since I started (two weeks ago) I've noticed an improvement of my acne, less oily skin and less flakey hair. But it could be a coincidence, my acne comes and goes.

I take fish oil, zinch, and a sup with d3+magnesium.

The only thing I can really say is it helped with my acne/skin tone, and I definitely go from "waking up" to awake a lot faster in the mornings.

/fit/ here. Guys there some latest finding which could possibly link fish oil to prostate and colon cancer. While it's not conclusive youre really just better off eating fish.

>> No.8845952

>>8845945
those results are from only one study (which seems flawed tbh-->correlation =/=causation)

fish oil improves inflammation so it would lower risk for colon cancer if anything

some fish have a lot of mercury too (tuna esp)

Just FYI they're useless if your body has enough. I took B vitamins and Zinc and had blood tests after a while (2-3 weeks).

My B12 levels and Zinc was above normal. Zinc being above normal decreased my Copper so I had low copper.

If you don't need them, don't take them. Fish oil and stuff like that are alright though.

If you do not drink water with Biotin, you are prone for major breakouts.
And you're supposed to start with a low dosage (100-500mg).
Always talk to your doctor (or dermatologist) before you take.
I take and my skin is fine.
