Ok, so I am moving from Australia to Canada (Ottawa) in January so the temperature difference will be extreme this is the first time Ill be going to a country with these extreme colder climates.
Only good thing is I actually have very little warm clothes so its a good time to start building some winter wear.

>TLDR post /fa/ winter clothes for -10c

Would love to get that jacket, but its too fucking hard to find at a reasonable price up here in Canada.

In the states its on sale for ~$280, which also seems pretty expensive(Id think it be worth around $150, considering its a 40 year old design that uses very basic synthetic fibers. When it first came out it was ground breaking and high tech... Now its a joke compared to the gore tex stuff thats in the same price range)

I have lived in Ottawa for my entire life. It is going to get a hell of a lot colder than -10, so I'd suggest prioritizing warmth over aesthetics in a winter jacket. You want a parka most likely.

Winnipeger here.
I have >>8834622(Not the real $400 TAD one, but a chinese knock-off that was $40) and i wear a hoodie underneath it. Its sufficient for -45C. Though i acclimatize to the winter pretty well and am typically only wearing a hoodie until it gets colder than -10C.

The big secret is you layer your clothing properly. Outer layer is mostly there to protect from wind sheer.

If you want best value without resorting to buying shitty chinese knockoffs, look at the columbia Whirlibird 3season jacket. Its the cheapest "Quality winter jacket" you can buy. Near the end of winter, sport check ususally clears them all out for around $100(i think the reg msrp is around $280)

Its not too bad, I'd call it babbys first techwear.

Just get a decent color combo, and cop only on sale. You can find better stuff for their MSRP, but they have insane sales (like 50-60% off)

Trying to be honest, yet I am racist:

>Black shoes with blue jeans.
Disgusting. Slav-bydlo core.
>Pinrolling while nothing to show off - no ankles, no some high-end high-tops or boots, no socks.
Retarded.
>Pants ill-fitting.
No, they are not baggy, they are ill-fitting. Even they look like okay at the bottom, they are sure too big at your tights.
>Those glasses with your skincolour.
It's like you have mud on your face. Also your skincolour is disgusting too, but you may disregard that to some point. Not fond of frames either.
>Mess on head.
Is not part of fashion, but fix it.
>That wardrobe and shoes collection (also mess again).
Stay pleb, stay nigger, stay basicbitch.

Parka is okay, but is awful with the rest of outfit.

Yeah, MEC makes some really nice equipment. They are Canadas version of REI, so they actually have some pretty cool business principles too.

You'll get more for your money if you go to sportcheck or Cabelas and buy a columbia jacket, if you're only worried about heat retention. MEC's stuff is prob. as /fa/ as you'll get without going full-on designer though... And if you take care of it and plan on selling it after a year or 2, you can prob. get a decent amount of your cash back, since they hold their value above other brands(Though you'll still only make at best 25% of what you paid. Still better than the $10 you can get for a used columbia jacket)

Yeah. No.

Just cop a parka and wear it with a nice scarf.
Unless you're a piece of shit, any shoes warmer or as warm as a pair of chucks will work.
Get a shitty beanie if your ears are sensitive, this will also get you teen sluts.
Whatever the fuck you do, don't wear chunky gloves or you'll look like a work for a fucking apple farm and forgot apples don't grow during the winter.

Also, all this is irrelevant because all the fat you're packing should be able to keep you warm.

You're going to freeze to death, I was born and raised in Ottawa and moved to Vancouver wear it's atleast shitty and rainy instead of freezing cold and windchill.

Also, tons Australians move to Vancouver beacuse it's the only Canadian city that's temperate for them.

Buy a North Face jacket and layer like a motherfucker, it get's so stupidly cold when it's windy there, function > form
