Uniqlo thread. (I know how much us fuccbois love Uniqlo)

Are any of Uniqlo's sweaters worth copping? In particular, their slub cotton sweaters. I know their sweaters are all pretty thin, but it is only 30 bucks.

They usually run weekly promotions. I copped a second flannel last week for 20 bucks along with some socks.

The thing I've noticed about Uniqlo is that by the time the sale you want rolls around, everything is pretty much out of stock.

Honestly their outerwear isn't the best, the only thing I have that's good in terms of outerwear is an old bomber (the one chilljin has).

>> No.8824906

>Are any of Uniqlo's sweaters worth copping

I got a fair amount of Merino wool sweaters and they are great for layering. They still hold up nice after a year or so.

Supima Cotton T shirts are good.

Underwear and socks are good, although I got some holes in them.

Their outerwear is hit or miss. Last F/W (2013) had some good pieces.

Pure Blue Japan looks nice. Going to try the sweatshirts this weekend.

Their white dress slim fit shirts are good.

J+ should be great!

Agreed with you (I'm the Anon helping out ITT), Uniqlo is great for most things.

Only had this problem with lambswool sweaters and cardigans, and I agree the cashmere doesn't feel $60-70 better than the merino wool, so I would not bother with them.

Also they finally made pants my size so I got some jeans and some khaki pants. I got them recently so IDK how they will hold up but they feel fine.

>>8824926
>I have 4-way down parka
Does anyone remember that 4-down jacket from last F/W? That was great, and it was the ONLY outerwear piece from them I didn't buy that year ;~;

Wish they could design cool outerwear more often and not those michelin man ultra down jackets the European tourists buy in bulk at the 5th avenue store.

Narrow is skinnier than Tight. Narrow is incredibly low waist, very skinny fit throughout the leg. Tight is pretty low waist too but not as low (even though they say it's medium), skinny but not as skinny as narrow and the only thing I don't like is the leg opening - about 30cm for a 28W. Still, I've worn Narrow before and the waist is just too low for a guy, my balls weren't feeling great. I'd recommend getting Tight and tapering the leg opening or rolling.

I've never heard that

Was thinking of copping pic related. I kinda prefer zip up hoodies because they are easier to take off and zip down if you get a little toasty

Should I go for a pullover instead? Or hell, should I just wait it out?
I usually just go full on pleb/comfy when I'm wearing a hoodie anyways, so if you had any inspo that would change my mind pls post

Also comes in black, but black gets linty and gross (only colors left I think. they have the other zip ups but they look thinner than this one)

The situation with Uniqlo is complicated, but the quality is in the same variable range as any fast fashion.

TL;DR is it's still fast fashion with all the sourcing issues but they at least have their own aesthetic and don't jack designs like Zara and H&M. Design quality varies from junk to decent and useful; construction quality is standard FF.

Hm. My only fascination with Uniqlo was with the supposed quality and smaller sized fits. If they really are phasing out their Japanese cut clothing for American markets in favor of larger sizes I will be intensely disappointed and the quality will have to compensate. Their aesthetic seems to be bland by design.
