This symbolism means nothing to you, it's just a nice picture, right? Not really. You know that it has to do with gang culture, and to you gang culture is cool. And especially, gang culture is seen as cool by other people. This is where the second factor comes into play, the conformist factor. As I said earlier, a lot of people are getting tattoos. This means that not only are you choosing to portray yourself as a tough guy and make people draw that connection, but you are doing it in a very safe way, because tattoos are so acceptable nowadays. Do you see how this kind of negates the badman persona you are trying to emulate? To me, and a lot of other people, this tattoo will instantly make us label you as a tool and conformist.
