I really wish NYC would get over the angst of old upper-side/class liberals and legalize capsules.

No, I don't need space. No, I don't need a private bathroom or kitchen and I don't understand why anyone would. (Seriously, unless it's a passion or job, who cooks here? Even us poors don't touch more than a stove burner.) I need lower rent. And unless it was a small loft I filled out according to my own dream design, I honestly wouldn't rather live anywhere else. Simple, direct, everything within reach.

Seriously, instead of this park bullshit (we already have so many great parks) why don't we turn Governor's Island into a giant capsule arcology, with low three figures rent subsidized by a tax on these delirious, destructive new luxury developments being puked all over the West Side and North Brooklyn?

It'd also probably free up a lot of strain on the shelter and housing project systems.

That's all rhetorical - the reason is that people are making huge sums of money on all three of those and there's the desire to minimize visible evidence of wealth inequality.

But just imagine, a whole island of pic related, cheap rent, and included WiFi...

/rant

Hello.
>>8736668
Orchids are easy to take care of.

The term 'advanced' in the orchid world refers to how much water and light they require, once you've got a spot for them to hang and a healthy watering routine it's easy.

I'm moving out soon, then I'll have a whole house to decorate.

but since I kinda suck at unadvanced orchids…

dont they have to be placed in a cooler, darker place, after they have flowered, so that they can get new flowers?

And watering should be done with water mist, right? Or a ridiculously (and mold prone) high air moisture? How do they react to calcium carbonate rich water (limestone area)? How do they reacht to drafts and temp changes (placing them next to the bathroom window)?

>dont they have to be placed in a cooler, darker place, after they have flowered, so that they can get new flowers?
That's just species that go into dormacy, like certain dendrobiums, most orchids are tropical and don't have a dormacy period.
>And watering should be done with water mist, right?
If you want to, you can just put them in a bucket of water or flood them until water flushes out of the bottom of the pot (if they're in a pot atleast), misting leads to thin European roots on Vandacious orchids, soaking gives you fat American roots.
>How do they react to calcium carbonate rich water (limestone area)
Calcium is good once in a while, they prefer rainwater though, and it isn't exactly hard (and free) to get rainwater.
>How do they reacht to drafts and temp changes
Depends on the temperature, all species benefit from a nighttime temperature drop, but tropical species like to grow generally warm.

There's low light, high humidity, cold growing species as well.
Picture related.

Vandas require full-sunlight, atleast, most of them, they won't flower until they're near sunburned,

Yes and no, you have to remember that most reviews were writen by pro's in an era when they still shot film, and with that quite a lot of film, easily 50+ rolls when you were a sports shooter. With such numbers the 25 roll battery life with 8 AA seems low and it was, in addition rechargeable batteries were still shit and didn't even work, so yeah it was an issue for working pro's who now had to carry bags of batteries.

When you are just casually shooting film and don't go over 25 rolls a day (which you will not do) it's no issue at all, especially considering the fact that we have been blessed by the existence of Eneloops.

The only real danger is that you will take a lot more shots then with for say a Leica simply because it's so fast and clinical, you almost forget you are using film.
