I was never a big fan of nail polish on girls, prefer for them to just go without, but when I started looking more into fashion and aesthetics etc I grew to like nail polish on both guys and girls.

Granted I feel it only looks good on androgynous guys. but still...

I don't like the look of nailpolish on most girls (and I hate the feeling of wearing it. I tried wearing clear nailpolish and it just felt weird). It tends to detract from their overall look since the nailpolish doesn't compliment what they wear or it's distracting. Long nails are pretty gross to me and people who like nailpolish tend to have long nails so... Also girls really like garish colors.
French manicure or a nude/pale pink color are okay though since they make you look cleaner and well managed
