If you want something military-looking, get actual military surplus. It'll be cheaper and look better.
Those fashion reproductions like brandit are usually overdesigned and fit poorly, not to mention they're usually overpriced.

For winter, look for an M65 fieldjacket or M51 fishtail parka. A lot of countries made them for their military.
