Thanks guys. I already have black and white af1s which I'm happy with, however they are limited to several wardrobe choices that I have. I was looking for something more casual and not suede.

Ok, I've made my decision. I'll be getting the Volcom Grimm in Iron Gray color.

They are full grain leather as opposed to the synthetic leather in the Steve Maddens, and I preferred the gray color to black. They would age better.

I tend to do a lot of walking, so suede shoes would get destroyed in a matter of weeks.

If the Volcom logo was huge, I wouldn't get them, but the same could be said for any logo. I reluctantly wear Nikes because of the prominent logo.

The logo is tiny and I can remove it if I wanted to because the overall fit and color is pretty good for the cheap price that they are. The color is otherwise pretty good.

I'd argue the opposite. Vans has a closer association with middle schoolers than Volcom does. I've never met anyone in their 20s wearing Vans other than complete manchildren. I have, however, seen Volcom tank tops worn by swagfags in their 20s.

Due to the small logo on the shoes and the non-juvenile styling, no one would think they are for kids. Vans on the other hand, are almost always styled for 16 year old skaters.
