Looking for some dying advice and figured /fa/ would be a good place to turn.

I can't afford to get my hair bleached professionally anymore and don't trust myself with not fucking up my hair, so I've decided to switch to a darker color to cut out the bleaching until I can afford it again.

I'm looking for a dark purple/maroon/burgundy, but to make the transition easier, I want something that would look good over my bleached hair and then stay pretty consistent once I'm dying over unbleached roots. My roots/natural hair are light brown/golden blonde.

Any recommendations for brands/colors where I can find or mix a rich dark purple that would work over bleached hair?

I have a HY or whatever you'd call short sides and back and long on top, but I always comb it back because otherwise it parts in the middle and falls all over the place awkwardly due to my shitty hairline.

Thing is I've been using foam on it which just makes it go hard as rock and makes it look dirty and ugly, but it's the only thing that will hold it in place all day.
