because the oldfags hate reddit so newfags hate it to be cool or some shit. you know how it is, everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon sometimes. even if that's not the case, on an anonymous board it could be just one person spouting off /mfa/ hate and you would never know. i'd say the majority of every board is on 4chan crosspost. pay attention to threads on other boards, it's literally the same shit being posted. same picture, same article, same video, same song, etc. it used to be reddit stole stuff from 4chan but now it looks like 4chan takes content from reddit (based on time posted).

in regards to /mfa/ i'd say they have a lot more "gay dads" than /fa/ does simply because reddit is more appealing and pleasing to a different and larger demographic than 4chan. more professionals/preps/rich college bois

also, people from /fa/ really just go to /r/mfa for the WAYWT for feedback that's a little less hostile and more constructive criticism than they get here. even if their fits don't really mesh with all the shit on /mfa/ they still appreciate something different.
also this board is way more similar in like-mindedness to /r/malefashion (no advice). that's the reddit board with all the ricks and rafs. they both have a darker/underground fashion sense, monotone and black boots, whereas /mfa/ isn't afraid of color and boat shoes.
