It looks like you have fairly fine hair, so no poo will help make it not as soft (sounds worse than it is) and hold texture better

Basically to get non-wavy hair for styling (if you have medium/long hair) is to apply hair creme (?) to wet hair - then either blowdry it or let it naturally dry - and then start styling it.
