But it's actually getting popular here. My close friend and ex has them, and both are breaking apart regularly it's ridiculous. I also see some in my campus parking lot. We are actually few years apart from yurop/USA but the gap is getting closer after tumblr and instagram rises into popularity.

personally, i never really like seeing people wear batik shirts with other non-traditional pieces, means that imo batik can only work if you go full traditional from top to toe (means you'll prolly have to wear blangkon, carry a keris etc etc idk)
and i dont think batik is interesting enough to make you a unique snowflake, if you're lucky you will not stand out at best, but well chances are, yeah, weird foreigner.
