for me, the only requirement for a tattoo to be good is sincerity. get a tattoo that actually means something to you, and it will be cool no matter what it is. i can also appreciate tattoos is they are very tasteful, and people who cover their bodies in them usually have a reason as to why they do so. tattoos are like permanent clothing, so if you're going to get one make sure it fits who you are as a person.

ex: a girl getting an ankle tattoo for her birthday is not fashionable. it is vapid and shallow.
