"meme" clothing is a buzzword to describe anything that's popular on /fa/. As everybody wants to be a special snowflake and not have the same clothes as someone else they discard this piece into a "meme" so it becomes inherently bad because of this status.

IMO this is dumb because if you like the shoe just buy it and wear it.

once something reaches a certain amount of popularity and how often it's recommended, people start to hate on it and call it "meme" when they probably have a pair already.

I don't really feel anything about generic basics with the CDG Play logo. I think about them little.

They seem like they'd function as an easy way to signal that you know about fashion in an otherwise super-basic fit, but usually IRL it just seems abused in that capacity. Like with the fits it's usually deployed with it's usually not, "ah, I see, clever under the radar fit, fellow fashion person." It's "hah, this fuccboi thinks slapping on CDG Play is supposed to mean something to me."
