If you had to name only one designer or brand as MOST relevant to your tastes, what would it be? How many pieces do you own from that designer, what are they, and how do you like them?

pic related: many of you will choose not to name him just because you're afraid of people thinking you're an unoriginal fuccboi, or you're afraid of admitting that you only own one tee

As meme as it is, probably Rick. Although I have love for Damir, The soloist, Ann d, the Viridi Anne, and visvim. I probably wouldn't wear visvim and the soloist because it's not inline with the rest of my clothing, but I really love the work. I wish it was a bit easier to mix the two styles, but so far I've had no luck.

So yes, Rick meme ovens is quite similar to what my aesthetic is,
But I still have a great love for many other Japanese designers.

I think Sruli Recht best fits my taste. I Appreciate the use of natural materials and his continued exploration of what the world around us has to offer. He takes simple shapes and designs and makes them interesting with new materials, unique textures, and styling that befits the wild Icelandic landscape in which he chose to immerse himself.

I don't currently own any of his pieces because they're hard to find and expensive, but I'm saving up and a couple of my grails are from his previous collections.

I'm a big fan of designers with similar visions of simplicity and quality in natural materials like Jona of Inaisce and Ria Dunn of Lost & Found. I have a couple of Inaisce pieces and I just bought a Lost & Found sweater. I understand that a full wardrobe of these labels could easily turn into some cosplay core shit like people who dress in only Rick's outlandish stuff, but I think the aesthetic can work well if you keep it simple and pair one or two interesting pieces with a more normal outfit.

Sweet, I had no idea this place existed - so I've been pretty limited with buying choices.

I've got a couple of Standing on Ceremonies shirts, a couple of Heliocentric and Galactocentric tees and a Sparse Belt, Driven Away and In Decaying Orbit with From Decaying Orbit in the mail (thank goodness, took me ages to be able to complete that pair)

Nice, I'm jel of the bracelets. Whats the blackened gold like?

>been looking at/for Nocturn for a while, as well as My Straight Grind, Simply Distressed or even Persistence.
Nocturn is really nice, I'm very happy with it so far. Has a few classic Sruli features; very distinct Field Dressing vibe.
Been toying with the idea of getting the Persistence knit from Cruvoir myself, can't decide whether or not I'm sold on the double breast tho. Might hope for a By Social Norms to come up.

>By Two Hairs
I'd have to store it in a locked safe in Aus. Still would have it tho

>what pieces do you own

Jackets I've got; Nocturn in black, Host in black, and the True Predation reindeer leather in black.
Couple of persistence shirts in white and charcoal.
Felling trousers in black wool to make a suit w/ Nocturn jacket, Curved pleat trou and the Long Con shorts from ss12. Couple of tees from Circumsolar, Crossed ring and Whalet in rose grey horse leather.
Reindeer leather is prob my favourite piece.
You were right, that took ages

I don't have it yet, sadly - should be making its way to me or waiting for me at home (I work away from home) so I can post a pic/description when it arrives if you'd like.
I'm really looking forward to having them, I've wanted the pair ever since I first found Sruli and saw that collection (and also because I'm a huge romantic sap apparently)

Might have to get Nocturn when I can then, and I definitely think I'll picked up a couple Distressed from Cruvoir - I know what you mean about the double breast on Persistence, usually I can't stand them at all but I feel they work really well with Sruli's general shapes and tailoring.

>By Two Hairs
Heh, you're Aussie too? Least there's someone else here who likes him - anyway, I don't think keeping it would be the trouble (I own a couple rifles anyway) it's actually getting the damn thing over here; because of the strictness in our laws I believe you have to buy it from an accredited dealer here, who has to receive it from an accredited dealer overseas, both of whom would charge a fee.
It's so beautiful though - and as for grails, how could I forget? If I could somehow find and afford Lo/Rez, I'd keep it forever.

Damn, that's a nice collection - mad jealous of the jackets (Host in particular) and shorts.
What's the finish of True Predation like? Always been interested in his leather but I always seem to buy a Rick or Julius secondhand because of how much I beat them... one thing I dislike in this country is that it's pretty much impossible to get firsthand experience with this stuff without buying.

Apologies for how long it took me to respond, temporary block.

>What's the finish of True Predation like?
Hard to describe. The hand is sort of like a suede with an extremely smooth nap, but altogether it still drapes and feels like a conventional leather. Varies throughout the piece though, theres some fluffier patches, in some parts you can see the reindeers spots etc. Its definitely durable enough, I've worn it to bars, clubs and parties and that sort of thing, never been worried about it tearing or anything. Surprisingly not that warm though, but that doesn't matter too much here.

>sorry if I'm swamping you with q's
