I have curly hair and this is what my hair looks like when I style it with its natural texture (i.e. no blowout). The most important thing is to never, ever brush your hair. That disrupts your curl pattern and turns it into a giant frizzy mess. The second most important component to forming glorious Boticelli waves is moisture. Do you follow-up your shampoo with conditioner? Do you style your hair with any products? A good, moisturizing conditioner+creamy styling product is the way to go. Anything intended for "ethnic" hair will be best for your hair, but don't buy any cheap shit. Stay away from mousse or gel because those can dry out your hair and have the tendency to make your curls look stiff and crunchy instead of soft and touchable.

Long curly hair is tricky. You should avoid getting it too clean yet not look like a drug addict. Too much styling product also looks disgusting
My routine:
Wash every other day, always at night before bedtime. First Use a really cheap conditioner without SLS, silicone and expensive oils. Then use an expensive conditioner (still without silicone. looking for conditioners that are marketed as ecological or natural is a shortcut). Use dry shampoo if greasy. No styling products.

I use the Evo Ritual salvation shampo and conditioner a couple times a week,rinse with cold water,gently without any tousling pat my hair until only damp,put argon oil on my ends then spray with the Evo Mr.Fantastic spray,run my fingers though to help seperate sections and let air dry.

In between washing when the curls unfurl I rinse with cold water and then re set with my spray.
