I've narrowed it down to two. Which one should I get?

Also, general scent thread.

>> No.8404086

if you really have to, get mont blanc. drakkar noir is 80s core, and only 40 year old men like my dad wear it now.

>> No.8404241

Drakkar ofc.

On topic, I wanna try Ralph Lauren Polo Black as I heard it's dope. Is it?

>> No.8404352

I've had Polo black before. It's a bit too heavy for my tastes but it's not a bad scent. I personally have been using Armani Aqu Di Gio for years. I love it. On topic, go mont blanc. Drakkar is so dated.

>> No.8404568

get the Mont Blanc. No idea what it smells like but at least it's not drakkar

>> No.8404659

Drakkar smelled the best for me ;_;

>> No.8404674

What's a good outdoorsy/adventure kind of cologne?

>> No.8404829

Drakkar makes you smell like a balding old man wearing a monnkey suit with visible chest hair from the 80s. Mont Blanc smells like money.

mont blanc if either

This is the perfect for summertime.

>> No.8409022

I have a Mont Blanc, its really good, much better than Drakkar Noir.

You know that episode of Its always sunny in philly where Charlie steals all of Mac's Drakkar Noir? Mac is one of those guys who wear drakkar noir, you don't want to be like Mac.

>> No.8412775

It's projection, sillage, and longevity are all pretty heavy. And I don't think it's all that delicate, really, maybe if all you are used to are Axe-type body sprays and basic beginner pleb scents.

>> No.8412786

>>8412775
Are you just putting more than one spray on?

I might have just been the store tester, but it wasn't anything like you describe.

best cdg fragrance for s/s? want something fresh and bright and kinda subtle, got a bunch of free samples coming but i'd like some recommendations while I wait (do they normally take a long time to arrive?)

Today's Cops, how did I do?

CK One
CK One Supper
Lancome Hypnose per Homme
Lancome Hypnose per Famme (for the girlfriend).

The CKs were on sale, but I liked them both.

3 sprays: chest & wrists, then rub wrists along each side of the neck; sometimes spritz abs as well.

I haven't worn it in years, so maybe they reformulated it, but it definitely used to last and leave a decent trail.

>> No.8412862

>>8412846
most people spray 2-4 times applying cologne. no wonder you didn't have any longevity. if you just want a skin scent, find a nice lotion.

>> No.8412869

>>8412862
No. They really don't. Boys who think it's used the same way as Axe spray loads on.

You want something that mixes with your body chemistry, making it unique. You don't just want the fragrance with you all day on its own.

You may be "that guy" everybody can smell down the hall, but nobody wants to offend you.

>> No.8412892

>>8412869
i constantly ask friends and family if my fragrance is too strong and they've never said so, and i trust they aren't just being polite. 3 sprays is not drowning yourself, and it's not going to overpower when it mixes with your skin oils and sweat. i've had bottles last years and i do 3 as well. 4 is a stretch, and 5 is definitely overkill.

pray tell, how do you apply then?

>> No.8412913

>>8412892
I'm not saying there aren't weak fragrances out there (JPG may be one of them).

But usually only 1-2 squirts (one on torso, one on wrists then transferred to neck). Armani Code or A*Men, my usual weekday frags will last all day on me on a work day, I get the occasional waft when I move, and when I work out at the end of the day they smell amazing mixed with my sweat.

3 sprays of Hugo Boss Orange is the most I've ever used for anything because it just doesn't last on an active weekend.

>> No.8412983

amazingreen? that was the most promising sounding one from the site, when you say weak do you mean that in a bad way or just that it's a subtle smell

would like to try ginepro di sardegna though
