Just wear linen shirts that fit. They're wrinkly and so don't look too formal.

Get a nice jacket for winter, possibly a mackintosh for the rain.

It's difficult to find trousers that fit properly off the rack, so you might want to actually get some tailored.

Try being in my shoes. I'm 30. Being over 25 doesn't mean you can't take /fa/'s advice. Just don't follow the fadcore threads like goofninja or lunarcore or whatever.

Basic fits done well are always better than stuff like going full Rick.

I think it's just that p much everybody on /fa/ has a working knowledge of business/business casual. It's just that it's much more cookie-cutter than more casual fashion, and doesn't lend itself to self-expression. Shit, the whole point of normal button-down shirts, suits, ties, etc. is typically to look as non-offensive as possible. To fit in. And it's pretty much all we talked about up until around early 2011. Now, pretty much everything you need to know about 'dadcore' has been condensed into a handful of infographics.

It's like how /fit/ doesn't really talk about calories in/calories out.

There's some great in-depth knowledge veering deeper into classic menswear without being too over the top italian #menswear that doesn't fit with the younger people on this board, but would fit really well for a 27+ year old

most peeps here just have the baby face or lack of money and lifestyle, because they're young and have young friends, that wearing that kind of clothing would fit with. Being respectable takes a backseat to being cool whereas the older you get the more it's the other way around.

When I was a little shit, I used to dress emo, I'm older now, and I dress in a minimalist fashion, but the fits are still skinny/slim. No graphics, no weird belts, no tacky colors. Essentially, kept who I was, but toned it down majorly, and matured what I had. In a sense, let the good fits and colors speak for themselves.

Being stylish is not a young man's game. Sure, you can't wear the super trendy pieces but mid-20s and up is actually the perfect time to start thinking about your style. You have more options. A skinny 18 year old would look ridiculous in anything more mature. You, on the other hand, have options. You're still in your 20s. You can dress pretty hip and on-trend.
