I've noticed Perth change slowly over the last year or so to being a bit more /effay/. It's really just following behind the eastern states though.

Has anyone here bought clothes at The Butcher Shop? They normally sell street art supplies but they have a few good men's items. I got some dope plain tee's the other day.

The Butcher Shop is great, that whole district had some cool shops but pricy as hell. I visited in March, and the inner city Perth, and the area around the Butcher shop was p /fa/. Fuck was it hot tho.

Buy online honestly.
Retail prices for clothing in australia is a fucking joke. I can't even remember the last time I bought clothing from a shop unless it's one of those $5 k-mart tees to use as throwaways.

Gingers
HAL
Billie + Rose
Cabinet Noir

>> No.8363953

I'm sad that while Perth has probably improved /fa/-wise over the last few years, I've lost most of my favourite stores.

Wasteland closed, Diletantte has no more men's, Zekka moved and changed.

Where can I cop next level shit now except when I go to Melbourne?

>> No.8363963

>>8363949
Gingers + Billie & Rose isn't very good. Billie & Rose is good for women though. Cabinet Noir is great, a lot of Denim stuff, but stocks CDG stuff. Mecca also sells CDG perfumes.

I can't confirm but word around town that there's a store opening in Northbridge that will be stocking stuff like Thom Browne, MMM & Visvim.

Right Hand Distribution on Clubhouse Lane off Hindley Street. Great selection of denim, sweaters and outerwear. In a coop building with Copley & Watson and the Magazine Gallery. Andy is a denim wizard and will blow your mind with his knowledge.

Honestly this is normal. Store close all the time. There are just as many if not more opening up all the time too. Just gotta keep on top of it to get in early.

Speaking of, I hear there's some cool shit that's opened in the old Myer block in Freo.

The guy that ownes Cabinet Noir is really nice, but whenever I've been in I see teens copping sneakers; saucony, nike, etc. The jeans are pretty nice but I don't know how he'll do in the long run, I guess, but I'd say Perths market will want the street brands more than anything they havn't heard of, the teens push the trendy look here, but they don't push that hard...

General Pants is piss. Pidgeonhole isn't bad because they've started stocking stuff like Wood Wood, Norse Projects, YMC & Henrik Vibskov. The Markup is too extreme though.

I went found it decent, went back 5 months later, no new clothes.

Do they look full?

Wouldn't be surprised if pigeonhole shuts em down.

Either way, what makes /fa/ /fa/ is exclusivity, it doesn't take long for the market to catch on and the plebs to start wearing the really shit imitations.

No stores in the world, let alone this little town can compete with what they don't know. And in that respect, Perth is the same as anywhere else in the world.

Buzz Rickson, Samurai Jeans, Three Over One and Penfield. Mostly really nice stuff. I recently copped one of the Buzz loopwheel sweaters and it's fantastic. Here's a pic from their FB.
