idk man, theres no real difference to me, I guess the 106 sounds a little colder. What sort of music would you be making with it? the MIDI support with the 106 makes it more of a logical choice, where as you would need a DCB to MIDI converter for the 60.

Ahh.. The only reason OPN used a 60 is because it was his dads and he grew up with it. You can get that squarewave "OPN Juno Drone" sound easy, you rely more on the effects pedals for the sound really. for dance music, MIDI is important, and 106s are more abundant and cheaper. If you want that sound, try recording with tape and playing it at a lower IPS than it was recorded, A fun trick.

I just kinda dig music in that area an experiment with music stuff. I do play, and I use my laptop, although I have this old wood panelled casio that give some really nice sounds if you treat it right. I record everything to tape though and usually run things through pitch shifters and delay. The tape recorder I got isn't perfect and gives some really nice flutter & wow.

On my to buy list is probably a simple jack of all trades polysynth like a Juno 6 and an Eventide reverb pedal. Maybe some Elektron gear as well. I'm kinda obsessed with granular synthesis right now and theres a really cool ipad app I've been messing with that does sample based granular stuff. Just use whatever works really.

because you dont seem to be aware, the definition of a grail is an item that is incredibly rare/hard to find. If those shoes weren't ever made in your size/were only made for one season/were entirely unique then they'd qualify for grail status.
A grail is by definition is an item that's incredibly hard to track down and one that you'd pay any price for. If it's on sale somewhere else, even for a grand (although those being CPs they aren't that expensive) you'll pay for it simply because you must have it.
