usually my mum cuts it, just doing a clipper job on the back and sides going up and fading out and then trimming the top and fringe, but i'm in Japan and don't wanna risk fucking up a translation to some cheapo hairdresser, so i've bought my own clippers.

I haven't started trying out glasses in actual stores yet but since I want to get a pair from Warby Parker I can't try out theirs since I'm Canadian. I've got a wide face and a big head. Also I'm overweight.

I've been browsing trough some 511's fits to see how they fit people and they seem to fit well on skinnyfat/normal people.

I'll still try them on store if I cop them, but this way I may avoid the awkwardness of coming back from the area where you try clothes (can't remember what it's called in english) because I chose a pair of jeans that was too tight for me. I've thought about trying the 513's first and then the 511's if they fit baggy on me, but it's still kind of an awkward situation that I'd rather avoid.

Sorry it took so long, I had to skype the gf.

Currently my lifts are:
Overhead Press 100 lbs
Pendlay Row 155 lbs
Deadlift 275 lbs
Bench 165 lbs
Squat 265 lbs

And I eat pic related.

Now, you probably won't need your squat and deadlifts to be as high as mine are to get that type of body. They make your legs a bit bigger (which most /fa/ guys don't want), but they really improve your core and back. This means that you won't get a bony back, you'll have bigger abs, and your hips won't stick out as much because you'll have some obliques and hip flexors there. Doing squats and deadlifts also helps the rest of your body grow. But if you aren't into functional strength or big muscles, then just make sure you can do them OK - getting your squats and deadlifts to around 195 and 225 should be alright for what you want.

As for my diet, it might be a little much for you - I'm 6'5'' and tend to be skinny, so I need to focus on eating more than most people. A shorter person should cut out the bulking bars and toast, and might want to drink less milk. Otherwise the diet is pretty good. Here's a few reasons why I've put certain things into the diet:

Pepper, onion, bananas, carrots, potatoes and mushrooms: I like how all of these taste, but more importantly they provide you nutrients and minerals. Don't cut these out.

Toast and rice: These help me not be hungry, and they have all of the calories. As I said, if you want to lose weight cut these out first - all they really do is add calories and fiber.

Beef, Milk, Tuna, and eggs: These have all of the protein. Protein helps you build muscle and repair damage to the body. It's pretty important. You can swap beef for chicken or pork, but having meat is really important (high quality protein). Eggs are delicious and have lots of protein. Milk also has protein but a lot of calories - if you want to lose weight, and you feel like there's too much in this section, cut out some of the milk before you eat less meat or egg.

I might be able to get into a gym, but I've saved what you said in a notepad and will try starting strength if I can.

You think /fa/ knows how to form their own routines? SS with a few accessories is easy, teaches good form, and will do more for them than whatever brosplit they'd find otherwise.

Did you even read what the guy wanted to look like? He wanted to fill his muscles out a little, get abs, and cut hard. Going SS until you hit ottermode will do that.

>> No.8305137

>>8305103

SS is abysmal for teaching good form. Notably because you're lifting more weight for less reps compared to that of a routine that works towards hypertrophy of the muscles. You're lifting heavier, so your form will suffer even more because A) you dont understand the technique to begin with, and B) you find it harder to stabilize properly due to not actually having any base level of strength or muscle to begin with.

It's much easier and potentially way less damaging to your joints to start with a basic hypertrophic routine of 3 sets of 10 or pyramid from 12-8 or 8-12 with a lower % of your 1rm as to really focus on what proper form feels like, and because you're breaking down your muscle fibers more, you will develop more muscle in turn.

SS is also complete garbage for cutting as well, simply because you aren't expending as much effort overall, thus your metabolic rate will be lower, causing you to burn less energy from fat.

In short, there is absolutely nothing that guy wants that wouldn't benefit more from him being on a routine that works towards hypertrophy compared to that of SS.

SS is great for teaching good form because it's a fucking book about form, with a routine tacked on. He won't start heavy if he does what the book says, and he'll gain a base level of strength by following the program. Did you actually do SS? It works. Meanwhile you're advocating a hypertrophy routine for somebody with no base level of strength, and suggest SS (which is designed to help beginner lifters gain STRENGTH) is bad because they aren't strong yet.

Talking about how SS is garbage for cutting is ridiculous. If you want to cut you fix your diet and do some cardio - the change in metabolic rate is negligible in comparison to either of the main fat loss methods.

Same with every other idiot who goes on SS without any prior knowledge of fitness.

Hypertrophy routine is perfectly fine for a beginner, though. In fact it's absolutely ideal purely because of what I stated previously.

>thinks metabolic rate has nothing to do with losing fat
>thinks that an increased metabolic level which intrinsically increases the level of energy burned purely from fat because of the extra hgh produced in your body has nothing to do with losing fat

Jesus christ. Educate yourself. You're not going to lose any fat doing SS. Cutting while on SS also goes against what SS is designed to do, which is also completely fucking stupid because lifting at those rep ranges is specific to strength and power.

>>8305347

Except it isn't wrong.

You increase your metabolic rate, which decreases insulin and increases HGH.

HGH allows for expenditure of energy derived from fat.

What does that mean? It means the higher your metabolic rate, more energy you expend from what ever exercise you're doing, the more of it will be derived from fat instead of protein, carbs, and sugars.

Why do you think that one of the most efficient ways to lose weight is to fast while doing HIIT?

Of course fucking sedentary obese not doing anything aren't going to see any god damn results.

>> No.8305374

>>8305347

The main difference is that in that study the obese individuals are being given HGH and not expending any energy because they aren't active. Additionally, because they aren't active, their levels of insulin are going to remain the same. Insulin inhibits HGH.

While obviously being active and increasing your metabolic rate to an extent where you increase the amount of HGH and decrease the level of insulin naturally in your body will yield more results.

depends, if you've got really small shoulders you can probably pull off smaller (since it looks /fa/ if bombers sit slightly shorter than the hem of a tee) but otherwise i'd advise going large. luckily for you a slightly oversized bomber is also doable

bombers are probably the most forgiving item to be between sizes on
