If you're gonna be a pleb, then be a real pleb and stick to perfume. You'll also get 3 choices.

Paco Rabanne: 1 Million is the most popular (has been since early 2013), It's great for night events, clubbing etc. But it's to overwhelming for everyday use unless you're a nigger. Notice if you wear this you'll smell like pretty much everyone else, but it's a safe card.

Giorgio Armani: Acqua di Gio is also very popular, Me and people I know prefer this during summer since the smell is pretty much non existent when it's cold outside, the wear stays for just an hour or less if its cold. That being said it's an awesome perfume for summer day/night and ladies love it. If you want a perfume only for summer/spring, go with it!

Jean Paul: Gaultier Le Male used to be the thing 10 years ago, nowdays it's not as popular but still remains one of the more common ones. If you're in still in college or under 20, I wouldn't recommend it. Got a strong spicy smell to it and unless your alpha as fuck people will just mock you for wearing it.Can't really tell you much about it since I've never actually owned it myself.

My day to day office is Giorgio Armani Code Ultimate. I got a bottle of Code Black from my then girlfriend in 2004/5, and we both loved it. But then they changed to just "Code", and it does not smell the same.

Ultimate comes the closest.

On weekends, it's either Emporio Armani Diamonds Summer, or Hugo Boss Orange.

Any recommendations on what else to try? I've tried a bunch of the fresh or sporty ones like Ralf Lauren, Lactose, but they all smell like the cheap stuff we drowned ourselves with in school.

I really hate the Issey Miyake for women family, if that helps. Something about it just gives me a headache if used too much... which my now girlfriend does.

Yeah, I think with a lot of scents, the men wearing them are to blame.

They havn't grown up much since their days in school, so they drown themselves in it, and think you're meant to only smell of that one smell all day.

EDT and others are meant to mix with your own body odor to create something pleasant and unique.

theres no single 'best' cdg fragrance, they do a lot of different styles really well. unfortunately in my experience most of the cdg line is poor on longevity and fair on projection (though i dont like fragrances that project like crazy so this is ok to me).

my personal favorites are avignon and 2. avignon has basically become the reference fragrance for all incense perfumes. 2 has a wonderfully warm and fuzzy, sort of cloudy presence and the note profile is relatively unique.

that said, wonderwood and 2 man are their most popular, i think. wonderwood is a woodsy fragrance and 2 man is the 'manly' version of 2.

/fa/, what do you know about olfactory fatigue? I feel like I get olfactory fatigue only to certain notes and it skew my perception of how I smell.
example: sometimes when I wear givenchy gentlemen only, it just smells like pure incense to me. other around me say they get an incense note, but it's not very strong. when I spray it on a shirt and come back later, it doesn't smell too strongly of incense either.
another example: I tried a sample of polo blue, which I thought smelled great for about 20 minutes then just smelled like minty basil to me, but people around me said they didn't really smell that.
