hey /fa/

how do I into desert boots? I usually wear more streetwear-ish fit - but i'd like to get me a pair of clarks, perhaps low black boots?

Buy them and wear them. I used to wear Docs all the time, Clarks (desert boots in general) are glorious in the summer months. A drawback is they don't stay fresh after the first couple months, and don't look "good" weathered like Docs do.

>> No.8202569

I was all set to buy a pair of Clarks and then I tried a pair on in the store. Felt so weird on my feet. Any reason I should buy a pair and experiment?

>> No.8202577

>>8202569
no

but if you really want to experiment, but a pair and put a vibram ripple or christy sole

>> No.8202582

Just match them and wear them.

Should come naturally once you start buying age appropriate outfits.

Just wondering if they feel massively different after wearing a while. The rear part of the boot was loose as fuck and it has no arch whatsoever.

they're classic and they'll never go out of style, take from that what you will

CDBs are about as priceless as an OCBD imo

I had that same problem at first but after a few weeks they started to feel normal and stopped giving me blisters. Not sure what changed, maybe just the way I walk in them.

That said you may consider buying one size smaller. Not sure if it's necessary but try it out if it bugs you that much.

First boot purchase: Clarks DB or Katahdin cordovans?

>> No.8204092

Any comments on the sizing of Clarks DB's?

I've heard they're true to size, runs semi large, and runs full size large...

>> No.8204148

>>8204092

My experience was about a half size. That's also what the Clarks store dude said.

I recently copped these, I looked in Clarks actual shop first and they wanted £80 for a pair which felt strange around the heels and the whole sole was one big ugly piece of rubber which was all jaggy. Looked around and copped these for £70 which have a much nicer lining and sole whilst being more comfortable.

I just bought these. Clarks Desert London in black suede. I didn't want the Desert Boots as they're a bit played out.

I'm not sure if I can wear them with anything other than black jeans though. Does black suede go with raw/washed denim?

Do they stretch a bit? They feel slightly tight and rub on the tongue. The next size up was too loose though.

I took a half-size down to what I normally get.

I wore mine everyday for over 3 years including horrible nightclub floors 2-3 times a week, they're really well built. Mine were Beeswax.

My question is: is it acceptable to wear a pair of shoes like these in the link to an interview for a fairly well paid job; i'm completely out of money and cannot afford a nice pair of black oxfords but have these

I was considering the sand/oakwood/wolf (difficult to find color) suede CDB.

However, I'm not sure what kind of outfit/colors to pair it with, considering that it's impossible to wear them on a black/dark blue jeans/trouser.

Any idea?
