Your shirt shouldn't be darker than your tie.
Change the shirt if you insist on the bow tie.
First pants, but not crazy about either.

Are you a woman?

WOW thats helpful. Yes im a woman. i have a white tuxedo shirt but its super long and really see-through. forgot to buy a vest because im an idiot

First off, khaki with a black shirt? Earth tones with black ever? Jesus. And the other anon is right, your tie should always be darker than your shirt, so if the shirt is black, you basically have only one option with ties, black as well.

What are you going to?
Can't you buy a white tanktop real quick, should be fine.
But ideally just buy another dress shirt, a peach colored one would look really good with that bowtie, and you could keep the pants.
>>8207045

Yeah just try to stay away from black/brown in general... it can work but, if you don't know what you're doing, just don't do it.

And you come along saying, "Wow. Why not be less of a pussy, huh? Trying do some REAL workouts."

Try something along the lines of androgyny. Less played out. Subtle.

>> No.8207268

>>8207242

You're dressing like a little boy playing dress up with his dad's clothing. Find something that fits properly, ditch the giant bow tie, and look up modern semi-formal men's clothing.

This ceremony, what's the dress code?

>> No.8207275

I agree with this anon. I think you'd be better off dressing gender neutral

>> No.8207276

>>8207263

but im actually not comfortable looking too famine at all. thats just me. i think androgyny can be quite attractive, just not on me.

i was just asking what pants looked better.
my gender identity doesnt matter.

>>8207268

i actually like my style i was just wondering what pants went better
sorry its huge, i learned how to tie one today, and they dont really make a neck size lower than 14-- so its going to look bit on a 5'6 110 pound female.

>> No.8207294

>>8207232
>>8207242

Oh, and by dykecore I mean lesbians tend to try and dress more masculine than the guys around them. Guys wearing T-shirts and jeans? Lesbian wears a shirt and tie. Guys wearing modern suits? Lesbian wears some kind of outdated but overly formal ensemble that an elderly man might wear.

If you want to dress like a dude, at least don't overdude it.

>> No.8207298

>>8207276
It was more-or-less a general suggestion. As far as pants go: straight leg, slim, or skinny. Those are your choices. You want to accent your body's features (curves, proportions, shape, etc.), not hide them.

>> No.8207301

>>8207294
im going to a formal event, its an annual music award ceremony and i went last year so i know how the men dress there.

there is nothing out dated about this.
i get that you have that opinion and i agree but i am not an example.

>> No.8207306

>>8207291

If you're going to dress in that style you need to find clothes that fit. The first pants fit OK but the shirt doesn't, and it doesn't go with it. The second outfit doesn't fit anywhere. And the bow tie should be burned regardless.

>> No.8207308

>>8207298

thank you anon, youre actually really helpful. i would accent my curves but i am a bit gender queer so i would rather hide them for now.

>> No.8207317

If you want to dress like a bartender that's up to you but I'd try for something more appropriate for someone attending the event rather than serving drinks at it.

>> No.8207329

>>8207308
Understandable. But when we're talking about fashion it really isn't a stretch to say that slimmer fits are "in" for both genders at the moment. After all, we are on a fashion board and you are asking for advice.
