Back when I had an undercut, I just did it myself. Buying a trimmer with an adjustable/removable guard pays off fast, if not on the first cut then the second.

You should've said what exactly you want NOT just some stupid haircut name. Hairdressers don't know what those names mean. Show them how high you want the cut to be, tell them not to taper the hair but to buzz everything under what you showed them to the length you want. I'd go with 3mm. Also tell them to leave the top alone. Tell them you know what you want and tell them you'll sue if they don't do it.
