Just ask for a fade on the sides and to keep the top fairly long; make sure you find a stylist who actually fuckin listens to you and if they don't? refuse to pay. in my experience most barbers dgaf what you say, they just do what they want. it's not a matter of knowing what to ask for, it's about finding a barber who's not incompetent.

OP just find someone irl who has a good cut and ask them where they got it, that's half the battle. then take in pics (maybe stills from the movie even) from front, back, and sides and you should be set

I can't stress the value in finding a good barber or stylist (find a barbershop though you fucking faggot)

I used to just go to supercuts and shell out the 18 bucks for a shitty haircut because I didn't know better. I found an amazing barber shop that only charges $20 for a top-notch fucking cut and not only will they listen to what you say, they offer advice/tips for achieving the hair you want.
