Given how often people give too many fucks on this board (and how often posters give them grief for clearly over thinking things), I'm not surprised that this sort of thing doesn't do it for them. It doesn't do it for me either and I do feel that it's a bit overly contrived, but I always applaud when people do exactly what they want to do without compromising.

My issue is that it's not flattering or really that interesting—mostly loud—but I can see how, as an artist, you're concerned with cultivating a persona that goes along with the art that you sell. People are their own brands nowadays and given the context, it makes sense. I don't know if I'd say he's "killing it" given how many designers embrace that same shtick but execute it with better fabrics, a cooler attitude, etc. But, whatever.
