Hey /fa/, I just copped one of these and I was thinking of stenciling some shit on the back because I wanna be a special fucking snowflake

I got some Krink K-71s, anyone know if it'll bond well with the shell? It's just polyurethane but if someone knows fosho I'd love some tips on application

Also, general clothes modding/customization/DIY tailoring thread

I really wanna try tampering with this, doing some obsessively intricate shit, but I'm concerned the material won't have it, esp b/c it's meant to stay porous

It's just inconsistencies in the spray lol. I got tulip fabric spray it costs like 10 dollars per bottle.

Cut a qlo shirt raw hem, ripped bottom right corner

posted this in a few threads now but no response so far

copped a pair of these on a whim, now looking for things to do to make it better/practice my DIY skills

im planning on sanding off the rubber brand on the back of the sole

anything else i should try?

>> No.8068057

>>8068027
It just naturally does that. I cut the hem with scissors, and to make the holes i used a cheese grater lol. If it doesnt curl after for you then wash it and it should then.

Thanks for the reply and cheese grater (!) tip. What brand of tee did you use? Maybe the fabric will make a difference. Did you measure out the neckline or just go for it?

>> No.8068103

>>8068093
It's a dry pack'd qlo tee, and I just cut around the hemmed part at the neckline and stretched it out a little bit, i might've heard it tear like 3 times before i was done.

test the paint on a tiny patch of the jacket that is out of view first and see how it sticks.

give me some tips on replicating the style

what shirts do you use for this by curiosity

>> No.8068138

>>8068116
Thanks man, means a lot!

They're all qlo shirts because i'm poor, all dry packaged. For the circular ones, I bought a poster board (thinking back something thinner would be better) and used a plate and an exacto/xacto/whatever knife to cut a stencil. After that I put it on the shirt and put some shit around it to weigh it down so no paint went in different places, and then I put that cheap tan scotch tape over the circle in different patterns. I used tulip fabric spray, about 10 dollars per bottle, and the speckled effect is just caused by the inconsistencies in the paint. After that I put a fan to it for about half an hour and then take the stencil off carefully and then hang it somewhere with a fan put to it and that's it!

>> No.8069530

OP here, did a lot of research, decided it would be best to use some permanent vinyl stickers (especially since I plan on just doing lettering), I'll post results in a couple days, wish me luck

i have a black vintage m65 field jacket and i wanted to draw a simple white shape on the back of it. it says the fabric is 65% polyester and 35% cotton treated with quarpel. wtf kind of technique does one use without damaging the fabric??

This is interesting. All my lower quality tees with raw hems have curled edges which i think look like shit.

I've got two raw hemmed Julius tees and the hem doesn't curl up. Is it to do with fabric quality or what?

(i wish void was here)
