I don't mean blue suede, which is common enough, but rather blue calf leather.

What goes well with these? Are they really so difficult to match with pants?

Reason I ask is that I'm contemplating some Trickers Stows in Navy.

I figure that, at night and in winter light, they'll be closer to black than blue, and you'd only really notice the blueness in direct, bright sunlight.

Any /fa/scinating effayers own blue shoes?

Regret buying them?

I'm fascinated by the colour, and I think it has much potential without being so totally offthewall wacko/breaktheorthodoxy. Many, many reputable shoe/bootmakers are making shoes in blue leather, from cyan to midnight.

I figure, with them beat up and dusty, the blueness of the navy stows isnt' going to be overwhelming.

What denim goes with them?

Like in these pics, I guess some lighter chinos. Grey? Grey denim?

Thoughts, opinions, abuse on the subject of blue/navy shoes welcome.

Hesitated, and the moment passed.
Now I'm looking at the Tricks Stow like I said.

I keep coming back to blue shoes, even though my more conservative nature shies in horror at the thought.

Thing is, I already have enough black, tan, brown, burgundy footwear (and some white athletic shoes) and figure blue would be the next step to branch out.
