Depends on what you call passable quality. Some people like acne here and call it god tier jeans, although imo those lack both the cut and the quality. APC non-raws are relatively nice, dior & sl are nice too but for the price I was really disappointed.

I'm thinking about copping a pair of petit new standard, they seem to be nice jeans at a good price. They also wouldn't make my shit blue since they are lighter.

If your heart is set on wearing high tops, get the PSs true to size, don't size down, or go with new standard. I sized down one in mine and they're quite snug, wearing hightops with them would look like clown shoes. Although I'm not sure if their washed denim stretches or not.

They are quite long, I'm pretty sure all APCs come with a 36 inseam standard. Petit standard is slimmer than New Standard, it's their slimmest cut. You could wear those high tops fine with them actually, nothing super high and chunky like Ricks though, it will make an awkward silhouette.

you guys realise APC sizing changes from batch to batch, right? There are those japanese selvege PS (eg sold at END) and non-japanese made in Macau (eg official website). Also APC raws are initially dark and will only get lighter with time. Also they WILL color your white sneaks, even if you cuff em.

Ignore the info on manufacturing sites, only relevant for raws. The washed ones won't stain anything. Still bare in mind, the black petit new standards run large, check the measurements before ordering.
