Well im just getting started on the ever so strange journey of fashion, after being told it would pretty much be silly to start building my wardrobe untill I lose some more weight (ill get smaller meaning clothes will be to big, chubby+fitted clothes=stupid idea, and just in general its dumb to do fashion when you dont look good)

However I figured I could at least get started with a good investment in a pair of shoes.

The first things to really catch my eye was nike eric koston 2s (pictured), and have been what I have been really thinking about. Another pair I liked were adidas gazelle s, more specifically the ones modeled as indoors.

As for me and my style that I plan on when I get fitter, I want to get clothes that are tighter and fitted, shirts and button ups and stuff, and I also want to try slim/skinny jeans, so if that helps tell you what shoes go with my planned wardrobe, im kinda not sure skate style shoes are right for it. So with that in mind maybe a pair of adidas vulvacs would be better?

(Whats the kind, flat bottom a lot of the time no laces, they're small, cant remember what the shoe kind is called but im thinking maybe something like that is a better idea)

Can you post an insp pic for your style? The way you described it is extremely generic

>shirts and button ups
>slim skinny jeans

if you're trying to go for a sort of smarter alternative to streetwear then i'd say adidas are better bet, the koston one's arent v nice

have you thought about any other brands? if you're set on skate shoes you could get vans, or lakais or etnies - they make lots of shoes with a nicer silhouette and less branding on

good luck getting fit op!!

Honestly im not quite sure what is "me" yet, so I think im gonna use the time slimming to figure out what I want because I dont even think I know quite yet.

(if im honest, im into guys, so I kinda wanred to do manly, but almost feminine at the same time if that even makes sense)

>>7924974

yeah, someone suggested vans to me, I think I should give them a look

damn, all these vans are really nice, I think next time I go shopping ill just try on a bunch of em and find the right ones for me :D

Fuck you
CPs are great

Adidas wise, I like sambas or stan smiths if you are into the whole minimal thing.

With that as a dress code, I would stick to stuff that goes with prep better, regular sneakers will just clash.

You could go minimal and get tennis shoes or similar (converse JPs, Stan Smith etc...)
Or go full r/mfa core and get CDBs
Or buy actually good boots.
YOu would also wear boat shoes, but I can't stomach them even when I go full prep.

look for the ones with the SL-1 last: 998, 1300, 999
