people who emulate are usually, almost always, not /fa/. they're consumers buying a trend, they look and smell and act phony.

point is, if you buy workwear and walk around in a mall all day, you might be inspired, it might even look nice, but it's too obvious that you're emulating a life and not living one. it's very offputting concept to which most of /fa/ is clueless.
