Long story short, I got a skin disease (vitiligo) and it's bad to put lotions and shit directly on my skin because it can worsen up the disease. What I do is that I put perfume directly on my clothes, usually my shirt, specially in the armpit area, but perfumes sometimes stain clothes.

Any perfume/body lotion/spray that I could get that doesn't stains clothes?

Ive noticed I have a scar type thing on my arm but it hasnt re-tanned how do I know if its vitiligo or not

Not OP but see a dermatologist? I'm pretty sure scar-tissue doesn't tan. My scars haven't, anyway.

Did you hit/cut yourself with something? This is somewhat normal, happens to some people, but it also happens to people with vitiligo. Do you have a picture of it?

>how do I know if its vitiligo or not
Do you have any white spots in your skin? Has the spot grown in size? Does it has a symmetrical shape?

Sometimes it's just a fungus.

I don't think there's anything they can really do about it but thanks for the response, hoping it is just a mark I don't want to end up patchy

pic coming in a sec, I don't recall a major cut but my cat scratches me all the time and I don't give it much notice so it could be that

Has it grown in size? That's how some spots look when I'll get a new spot, first it's some dots, then it starts getting a shape, but yours look too symmetrical, did you cut yourself? Because if yes, then it's normal.

Have you been under a fuckton of tress lately? Usually when you get Vitiligo, you have various spots through your body, not just one. When I found out I had vitiligo I already had some slight spots on my fingertips, face, and crotch area.

there was a scatter of very tiny spots further up my arm (I can barely see them now), I also noticed a slightly larger more irregular patch on my leg a while ago but I can't find it now. To be fair I haven't been in strong sun so it might re pigment this summer (I'm hoping). Size has stayed the same, what's yours like?

I have through my whole body, I'd say 20% to 30% of my body is pigmentless. Go to a dermatologist if you're really concerned. It could be Vitiligo, it could be nothing, either way if it's Vitiligo there's nothing you can do about it.

Sorry to hear man, thanks for your insights. That's what I thought about the lack of treatment so I'll probably leave it and hope for the best. One last question, how long did it take for yours to escalate?

Before I was 10 I had some spots in my balls area. My mom always told me "tell me if you have any weird shit, even in your private areas" but I didn't felt like telling her, then I scratched my knee and it never gained color. I was a kid so I just ignored it.

Then when I was like 13 I got a heart shaped spot in my face, then it became deformed, then I went to the doctor thinking that I had a fungus, doctor told me I had Vitiligo, back then I didn't really give a fuck.

Shit escalates and is caused by stress. I've been under a fuckton of stress under the last 2 years and I've gained a fuckton of spots over these last 2 years, I went from having 15% of my body spotted to 20% to 30%.

Most treatments are like snake oil, the truth is there's no cure.

It's when people (mainly blacks, I think) lose pigment in their skin slowly.
