Can someone give me tips as a college student of where to buy clothes? I have plenty of money, but I really lack style.

Growing up, I never gave a shit what I wore. Mom did most of my clothing shopping, and I'd just approve/disapprove. Bigger problem is almost all the shit she bought was from places like American Eagle, Hollister, etc.

That might have been okay in high school, but now when I wear any of that shit I feel like I giant walking advertisement and it's stupid - nobody else wears that shit either. But I have no idea where to find decent clothing at?

Also, how the hell do you guys go about your shoe game? I have a new pair of white/black Air Maxes (just really like the shoe), but I refuse to wear them outside because of winter. I'm also afraid to wear them at parties because I don't want them to be ruined. I'm at one of the biggest party schools in the nation, so I need to have stuff I can wear when I go out.

If in UK - H&M is sick for basics.

Also,
>Wearing Air Maxes at parties

My basic club/party wear is just oxford, black or raw jeans, and Allen Edmonds brogues, and it's such a simple outfit but everyone will think your /fa/ as fuck.

Everyday wear for me is a flannel shirt, a nice jumper, and a parka with black jeans and a nice pair of boots.

Not the first time I've seen that mentioned, but unfortunately I'm in the U.S.

H&M is in the US too... but what I meant is you should start going to stores like H&M and I try to develop your own style, no one can tell you how to dress yourself

basic /fa/ uniform can be had via eBay (duh), J Crew, Nordstroms, Harrods, etc.
most shopping can be done online anyways. If you have money get all your basics from a boutique's website so you can return whatever you don't like. It's real easy. if you have money, avoid H&M. Avoid H&M anyways.

as for shoes, there's sneakers and shoes. everyone should have one or two of each to start

I'm not poor, as I said in the post money isn't an issue. Granted, I also don't think I want to spend $50-$100 on one shirt.

How big is hair going to be in making style? Looks like a key part of that guy's look in my opinion. I'm in the military, so I can't do much with it, or facial hair.

Oh, well then mr porter is my go to online store.
But m8 50$ on a shirt is pretty cheap, unless youre talking about tees

Yeah hair definitely plays a big factor, but its hard to go wrong. Military styles are fine.

Thanks for finally leaving the dark side, not a hollister faggot any more. Plus you have a good taste in shoes, but if you want something that doesn't get dirty easily why don't you just get Timberlands or something? I wouldn't really know cause my shoe game is just 3 air maxs(1s,90s,95), Jordan Oreos5, Nike Roshe. Plus it didn't snow in London so didn't have to worry about any damage to my shoes

Maybe not what you're looking for, but unless I have a specific piece in mind, Goodwill is usually a goldmine. Take a friend with a good fashion sense and cop some sweet, sweet $2 layers. There are usually a lot of boots and coats too.

I'm working on figuring it out. Alternatively I was thinking of a cheaper pair of Nike's to wear around. I've been wearing my old Air Max's, but they're pretty banged up at this point.

I'm probably going to have to shop when I head back home for spring break, or online. This town is the college, and that's about it. I'll pass through a major city where they've got a lot of stores to shop in. I really like to try stuff on and see it in person.

>>7794417
I wouldn't pay more than $20~ for that shirt. It might be /fa/, but it's basic as fuck and I'm not going to make the sweatshops rich.

no its not.
an abercrombie tshirt costs maybe 2 dollars in production, its sold for 60.
my dior coat costs maybe 150 dollars to produce and is sold for 2500.
the dior coat is expensive and overpriced.
the abercrombie tshirt is cheap and a lot more overpriced than the dior coat. do you see how this works?

I'd just cop a school hoodie and hang out with frat douches p chill dudes mostly virgins and all talk but who cares

>> No.7796262

h&m is okay for basics but I really like Old Navy for a cheap place to look decent. You got to go in knowing youre probably not going to be up to /fa/ standards but you can get some decent stuff that will convey to other people that you have a sense of style. Stuff like their long sleeved henleys and sweaters are always good but make sure you try them on because from my experience the sizing is a little sporadic.

Those and some basic pants can get you pretty far. Again, you wont be /fa/ but you wont look like a slob.
