Ausfag here,

I Believe that most of Australia is so unfashionable because of the warmer temperatures and lack of defined seasons. How can a nation possibly look fashionable when the average temperature is around 25 -30 degrees all year round.

This means that people going to office jobs don't wear full suits, people just walking around in streetwear have to rock shorts and a tshirt and the general public considers cool clothes>fashionable ones. Thongs (flip-flops) are the go to shoe because of how much they let the foot breathe. On top of this many of the public and the shit tier/ mall(fastfashion) tier that serve them are still focusing on the traditional sun kissed surfer look that Australia is so well known for as it suits the climate - and this is why I believe Sydney will never take off as a fashionable city as it is so close to beaches and that community.

Finally I would like to state that their is hope for us Ausfags with the slight glimmer of hope that is the city of Melbourne. Not being located near beach communities and having a climate that allows for seasonal wear (being that they all may occur in one day) as well as its already engrained art/music/fashion culture mean that it is Australia's last hope.

Yeah, it was pretty good. The semester 1 event was way better than the second semester one, organized by different people. There are still some pretty cool people to talk to, even with the neckbeards.

See that's what I'm doing now. I wear hanes beefy slim fit t's for plain shirts, couple of target/kmart plain shirts as they fit me really well somehow. Just can't find anything decent to top that (sweaters, jumpers, nice pants, chinos, etc).

Find the odd nice thing in David Jones and there's a few factory outlets near me (Harbour Town on the Gold Coast) but it's rare.
