My gf got these for herself (she's 5'5") but they require a really high ankle in the shoe to work. She mostly has heels and trainers, no basketball shoes so they weren't practical. You might be able to pull them off in a pair of high tops or something.

I'm 5'7" and I dislike being so short. I'm confident, and my dislike has nothing to do with how others see me/girls. If you are confident and capable, height means jack shit. What I am pissed about is that my height means there are a number of fashions that won't look good on me no matter what, and that finding clothing that fits is so difficult.

I can't wear avant garde stuff (rick, ann, ccp, etc...), maybe a leather jacket with a fencing cut but nothing else, much harder to play with silhouette at this height.
I can't wear thom browne for same reason
Most jeans have retardedly large back pockets as they use the same size ones for all jeans so most brands look stupid, also very few have waists under 28" (thank you based APC)
Most knitwear is too long, as are tees even in small size.

And lifts won't fix these issues.

Seriously, be confident, own it, and it does not matter.

I'm of the opinion that a manlet isn't a short dude, it's a dude with a complex about being short. If you need Tom Cruise high heels to feel more confident you don't deserve to have confidence.
