It'll be interesting I think. I think tech is definitely moving up in terms of high end and progressive design interest, lots of sportswear/active influence gracing the runway in the last 4-5 years in particular it seems. Intricate graphic prints are also getting new light, which can be hit or miss, but I still really appreciate it. Non-traditional silhouettes are always being messed with, but I think more extreme and experimental ones are on their way into more fashion houses.

Personally, I hope some seriously interesting textiles start emerging, I want to see some more technical finesse.

That's a pretty poor characterization of what Kuroda-san makes. Lad's been around since the mid-90's and though it arrived on the scene the same time as stuff like DH and Lang and Raf, there's always been a clear thread of rock-influenced, minimal designs with a strong emphasis on slim silhouettes and thoughtful tailoring. I see similarities, but Lad has always been subtler about the influences outside of the runway styling and the occasional graphic tee. There's never been the flamboyance that has crept into Hedi's work from time to time. The androgyny is there, but not in any sort of aggressive way; just a statement about how modern, urban men can dress.
