Well, the awkward height and tongue and silhouette are all meant to facilitate skating, so it does what it's designed to do. I'm not saying it's a great sneaker, but there are specific reasons for all of its specific design details.

these are my current skate shoes. I think they are pretty good. They rarely look bad with what I wear skating (granted, I dont dress nice while skating)

but on that note: dont wear skate shoes if you dont skate. Its pretty uncool
