For day to day, I usually smoke American Spirit if I can get my hands on it. Only problem with that stuff is that it's so fucking dry rolling it can be a fucking nightmare.

Lucky Strikes if I want decent straights.

American spirit rolling tobacco is good stuff, some of the best tobacco in my opinion. However, the tobacco itself is often dry and powdery which makes rolling it messy and annoying. Then again some pouches of the stuff are fine and roll ok.

"Straights" is slang for pre-rolled cigs in packs, you know like Marlboros, Mayfairs, Lambert & Butlers. Just you average everyday pack o' smokes.

machine rolled cigarillos can be good, but you wont find many decent ones. backwoods are tasty but not very /fa/. pipes and hand rolled cigars can make you look pretentious as fuck depending on how old you look and how you dress.

Depends on your preference really. When I first started smoking I bought all sorts of small packs of tobacco (one at a time of course) and then once I'd been around all the brands I short listed the ones I liked the most and then narrowed it down from there.
