i wear skinny black levis all winter and spring then when it gets hot i cut them in to shorts. cutoff black skinnies are among the only shorts i like.

That's what I'm thinking. Being outside in the heat (and humidity, no less) is beyond ridiculous. I'll give it a shot.

Start off with J. Crew Stanton shorts. Preferably 9" inseam unless you are short, then 7".

Shorts should be above your knee, not at or below, unless you are black or play basketball.

Do not wear short sleeved button ups. They are hard to pull off due to the inherent nerdiness. Stick with linens and seersucker. Roll the sleeves up 1/3 of the way up. Slim polos are fine. Sunspel if you got dosh. I like how Brooks Bros slim polos fit me. I haven't tried J. Crew's.

Buy no show/loafer socks. Look at Quoddy for boat shoes, if you want that aesthetic. I usually wear white bucks from Brooks Bros. or GATs (not MMM).

The photo shows the anything effect that I like but it is hard to know what you achieved in the outfit and I don't like the photo because I cannot see why the scrunched up look anything effect.

I don't know how else to describe it. The scrunched up sleeves are OK i can see them in the picture that's a good part of the fit I keep trying to make you understand. That part of the photo is good I can see it OK, and it looks good on you and is a good fit.

I don't know how to make you understand. The scrunched up look, and the anything effect are together I can see in this in the photo but It's not a good enough photo because I can't see it. And it's a good look with the anything effect but it's just the photo doesn't show the anything effect good enough but the scrunched up is good in it I like that part of the outfit. So if you took the photo again with the scrunched up look but also the anything effect could be easier to see so other people here can look at the outfit and know how to get it.
