Yeah avoid sales threads and w2c threads. Save pictures of people who look cool to you. Put it on pinterest or something. You'll start to notice a common theme eventually. Ask around for brands that make stuff that helps achieve that look, find a local department store and experiment with clothes(don't cop though), get to learn your measurements and how you want stuff to fit. Slowly cop and build your wardrobe. DO NOT buy something you don't know how to style, that doesn't fit into your wardrobe or that you're not 100% sold on unless it's a really fuckin cool piece that you're willing to re-structure your wardrobe around. There is a ton of cool gear out there, don't piss away your money on the 1st thing to catch your eye.
