Let's recommend each other great IRL stores to check out or visit.

Starting with an obvious one: Nepenthes in NYC. Great selection of Japanese stuff including Engineered Garments.

>> No.7642044

>>7642001
DSM on Lexington
Nepenthes (OP mentioned this one)
Epaulet in Brooklyn (the one in Chinatown is cool, but very, very small)
Self Edge, also in Chinatown
Unis on West Village
Y-3 on Greene Street
Jay Kos on West Village
Rag and Bone in SoHo (other stores aren't as good)
APC on Greene
C'H'C'M' on Bond
FSC in Brooklyn
Odin on SoHo

Machus is my favorite store in Portland. It's the only store that carries any avant garde clothing. Everywhere else is muh lumberjack heritage as far as the eye can see.

Yeah. If you're staying in town for a week or more, take one full day to walk around Brooklyn.

Most of the stuff there is workwear (and not the good kind), but you can find some interesting stuff.

Plus, there's always the department stores. Bloomingdales carries a large selection of Prada shoes, including some past seasons, as well as some stuff from CDG.

Saks and Bergdorf mostly stock up your usual luxury fare, although Bergdorf has a god-tier Loro Piana boutique inside.

Totokaelo - Goof and other expensive shit like CPs.
JackStraw - Workwear: Engineered Garments, Stone Island, etc. Carries some Japanese brands too.

There's also the Blue Owl Workshop HQ in fremont, which I don't know if they let you try stuff on there, but I might try and visit one day.

Copenhagen: Norse Store (of course), right next to it is Nag People which carries a ton of Rick, Damir Doma, Knomadik and other goof stuff. Also Henrik Vibaskov or w/e has JunnJ, Damir doma, Bernard Wilhelm, Comme Des Gar?on, and some other decent stuff. There's also Carhartt, the 2 Acne stores, and a place called Bau Bau that sells 2nd hand goof stuff (gotten a lot of Rick and seen some MMM and SLP shoes there) in N?rrebro. If I had the capital and the contacts I'd almost think about opening a boutique but Madison's not big, nor is the city fashion conscious enough.

While limited, I do like Contexts' denim and leather good selection. Not really comparable to that that can be found in brick & mortars down in Chicago but you take what you can get here in this part of the Midwest.
