I noticed I had some weird marks on the toe cap of my CPs. I've had em for like 7-8 months, how do I prevent it from getting worse. I believe it's water damage, and I plan on using some cleaner + leather lotion when I get hme

Could be; it that would indicate that they use low quality leather, or rather the parts of the skin that others rejected.

>> No.7621575

is it a mark? it looks kind of elevated and nearly symetrical, could be a part of the construction to help the toebox keep its shape?

Actually believing this when paying £250 for plimsoles.

It's sort of a raised area around the one spot. I went to the shoe repair store and he said it he could get rid of it with a dye but suggested I wait and wear them until the bump gets worn away a bit. I also have leather lotion at home, hopefully that rehydrates the leather and makes the bumps go down a bit

vein marks of the animal that wore the skin before the shoe.

reputable shoemakers generally discard leather that has these marks when making their shoes.

wolverine 1k's can have this problem, just shows you that
>muh quality
ain't all that much

not all that surprising, really

>> No.7624296

your shoes look dirty, use a damp cloth to remove the dirt, then apply white shoe cream (sapphire brand cream has a good reputation) on all over the shoes until the leather has absorbed it. Do it again until it stop absorbing, leave them air dry for at least half an hour (normally it's more like 8 to 12 hours) and brush them vigorously with a shoe shine brush the next day.

Do that once or twice every month, use shoe trees. Probably won't solve your vein problem but it'll preserve the shoe.

heh

it takes one thing to remind you that you're wearing animal products on your feet. interesting to think about
