Is this considered a square toe shoe? Looking for tux shoes and these are a pretty good price.

Get some wing tip oxfords op square toes are ugly

>> No.7594545

I needed some new brown dress oxfords and looked around a bit. Look at Susan Adams "Atwell" in black (I just got brown) or "Atticus" (two-tone) for some classy shit.

they're pretty square

surely you can find a pair of patent leather oxfords for cheaper than those

Somewhat related to thread but how much room should there me in the tip of dress shoes? I find that there has to be at least an inch extra length for there to be any comfort...

these are literally the same shape... and aren't patent leather. so i'm guessing that this shape isn't considered a "square toe" because the shoes are still narrow?

Not a surprise people call this place shit.

Florsheim Men's Kingston Oxford

Of course they're not Allen Edmond Copley, Acne, Alden, or any designer.

As stated, square toe.

>>7594778
Square toe reminds me of 80's fashion. Big suits, "casual formal wear", huge shoulder pads, everything boxy cut and big. It just looks clunky and ill fit to my eye.

Fits back then were just an attempt to rebel against classic styling. Still fun to watch and notice in TV and movies though.

Love laughing at American Psycho suits and long mullet hair.

>> No.7594845

>>7594836
I don;t know, a lot of square toes look fine to me. It depends on how aggressive the square is really. I wouldn't wear aggressively pointed shoes either.

In the end there aren't any set rules. Everyone has their style and taste.

Yeah, too pointed doesn't fly. Although I do prefer my patent shoes to be more pointed than my work wear.

>> No.7594925

>>7594818
no him, but that image is exactly what i think when i hear square. op's pic isn't square, it's just not completely rounded

>> No.7594932

If you are European and on budget, buy Bexleys.

Their dress shoes are 139€ a pair, goodyear welt, good leather quality although bit stiff. Excellent value nevertheless. And crazy huge selection.

I would however put bit more and get Meermins for 160€ if in their very narrow selection of handfull of shoes have a pair you like.

>> No.7594991

>>7594925
There are extremities to square-toed shoes. OP's shoes don't have a rounded toe nor a pointed toe.

Guess where that categorizes them.

This dude knows whats up. Plus there's nothing more relaxing then a good polishing. Plus you'll extend the life of your shoes/boots.
