Easily the best collection on here.
Are the Danners any good for hiking? I've been in the market for new boots for quite a while, torn between Diemme and Danner, though Danner's do seem quite stumpy from what I've seen.
What's the specific Yuketen model, bottom right?
And are those the Anger boots next to your RWs?

>Are the Danners any good for hiking?
I have no idea. Out of the box, I couldn't even walk around the block without the flesh just above my heel being wounded for 2 weeks (halfway around the block, I realized there was no fast way back, and had to inspire myself to go on walking with lines of poetry). To this day they aren't comfy, but because I got them around the same as two other pairs of boots, I haven't had much time to dedicate to breaking them in. Denim Dan has some very similar Danners, and he does some hiking IIRC. Ask him.

bottom right are the yuketen tokyo, the one that was available at Union Los Angeles either last season or the season before (I forget which). ssense also had brown ones but they were a different leather.

assuming you mean next to red wing on the right, those are yuketen johnsons, available at Gentry. on the left are yuketen maine guides, if you meant that.

what's the quality on the mcnairy saddles like?

Tokyo's look gorgeous, might have to look into a pair.
Just now realising it's a shadow underneath the MGs, thought it was the vibram sole on the anglers - I've been interested in a while.
McNairys are quite good actually, quite good quality suede, even held up to a bit of rain - took a lot of effort, but even got vomit out of them. The sole is somewhat susceptible to heel drag though, that's my only complaint, but I've had them for close to a year and gotten a lot of wear out of them.

a mix of stuff that was on sale

I have a green battenwear shell parka, a red light engineered garments jacket, a brown houndstooth Vetra jacket, a black/white (looks like grey from a distance) herringbone Post Overalls jacket, a couple of Universal Works x The Hill-Side jackets, and two HW Carter and Sons jackets (explained under pants)

a hat and scarf from howlin' by morrison

some various cool socks from a few brands (sock lady, howlin by morrison, universal works, two feet ahead, gonna get some chup soon; rest are a mix of roots, american apparel, and some other crap)

for pants, I've got some levi's 511s, some HW Carter and Sons pants (90% off when they changed name to Gentry), and some Worker's herringbone trousers. I've got some Phigvel jeans, too small atm, that I'm aiming to fit into

as for shirts, I got a bunch of American Apparel and J. Crew basics back when I was starting out. I also have a bee line (designed by Mark McNairy) shirt, a levi's vintage shirt, and some other stuff that I can't remember off the top of my head

I'm working on dropping a size, so my shirt and pants game is off right now. I don't want to invest in my current size since I don't expect it to last

I can't explain why I have so many jackets in spite of that

altogether my clothes aren't terribly impressive

Beautiful shoe collection.

I don't own a single pair of good shoes and wanted to get some boots first since it's winter here.

Red Wing 8881

depends on how they fit you, I guess. I haven't worn mine enough to know what they're like when broken in fully (Red Wing take a ridiculously long time to break in and lose their out-of-the-box stiffness). Banana has the same boots, he might be able to tell you more.

the sizing is weird. I have wide feet, and they're more suited to long feet. so the fit isn't ideal for me. if I was standing on my feet for 5-6 hours at a time, I think they'd give my feet a worsting. But wearing them to a ~13 hour day of classes (spread out between 10 AM and 9 PM, plus transportation time) they're fine. and I only have a problem because of slight heel slippage

I have heard that Red Wing are very comfortable when they're thoroughly broken-in. The 8881 is one of the slower models to do that, though. The reverse suede is pretty tough, and stiff. And the toe is lined with something on the inside.

Here/s my meager collection.

shit - RW 9075 - RW IR - Alden 403 - 1KM Rust
shit - Adidas - Cole Haan - Achilles Low - Nike x 2

I'm a 13 in sneakers (wide feet) and a 12 in boots. I've been thinking about selling my 9075's, Achilles Lows, and 1KM's. The Lows are size 12, and they are just too uncomfortable in the toe box.

Its not really a collection its just all the shoes that I have that are still in a condition good enough to wear. I'm looking for a good skate shoe kinda like my vans but a wide the vans I have are not to bad but when I wear them for a while they start to hurt my feat.
So I'm looking for a got 12-12.5 wide skate shoe whats a good brand that should fit

I'm very happy with them. they're comfortable and they can handle some snow and ice. I couldn't ask for a better boot for what I use them for.
