Figured this is a decent place to ask. How do you take care of leather boots? I got a pair of 1000 miles for christmas, that I'm worried I already fucked up. I polished them, because I usually polish leather shoes, but I didn't like the way it made the leather look, so I tried stripping the polish off, and I'm worried I ruined the leather, because where it used to be brown and smooth looking, it now looks greyish and almost like nubuck. Did I take the dye off the boot? Should I take them to a cobbler and get them re-dyed? Halp pls.
