How do 3% spandex jeans stretch?

I bought some slim bootcut jeans in my size at h and m and I had a little bit of hard time buttoning them...

I only buy leg openings that are 18' -17'. My feet are big (Womens size 13) and I tend to wear booties and chukkas.

If I wear shinnies or straights they make my feet look big.
