My Boby is pretty much from the first batch that was ever made in 1970 and it's still holding up great, the red is very vivid. Kartell now makes them and considering their track record with plastic it will probably be even better now.

Avoid the white do, I've seen those yellow up over time, they do clean up with tooth paste but that's a lot of work and black is more susceptible to scratches since it's much more reflective.

Unless it's a Bieffeplast for a good price It won't really be an investment I think. Kartell stuff does retain value but save for a few items that are out of production nothing becomes an investment really and considering that the Boby is one of their staples in the collection, I can't see it going up.
