I dunno I think it was a pretty interesting read. It probably is at least partially true for certain somewhat judgmental people, but I feel like leather jackets are coming back to a degree in that male celebrities are beginning to wear them again (Ryan Gosling, Adam Levine, Bruno Mars, Drake, etc. etc.).

That said, I'm not in any way claiming that any retail store-bought leather jacket would be anywhere close to what those celebrities probably have custom made/tailored (or that the average person is nearly as confident/attractive), rather that leather jackets aren't irredeemable like you're suggesting.

If they can pull it off, it CAN be done in today's day and age, or else their expensive professional stylists wouldn't dare put them out in public wearing it.

But I'm assuming when you say "People" you mean the majority of people. Wouldn't good fashion sense generally be determined by the majority saying "hey that looks nice"? If fashion is determined by marginal minorities then wouldn't nearly everything that looks radically different from the norm be considered fashionable as long as it has at least two people approving of it?
