Just bought pair of Edwins ED80, Red Listed Selvage for £100. Really enjoying them so far. They have a nice look to them and the indigo has a somewhat warm hue.

They're 14 oz, so they are thick as hell and have a great texture, with very broad streaks. I expected them to feel like shit, but they are actually more comfy than my previous pair of ED71's (which I fucked up after throwing them into a 60 degree wash).

The bad thing is they are starting to bleed as hell. I will need to give them a rinse tomorrow and hope that they won't lose their current look.

Raw denim = Denim that hasn't been in contact with water, sand or lazerzz since it left the last sewing station.

Selvedge = Denim that's been made on shuttle-looms (mostly, although it can be replicated on chinalooms), often made in Japan. Characterized by the self-edge, meaning that there, in most cases, will be a white edge on the fabric with a colored stripe through it. Different brands make different edges (Evisu characterized by the red and white edges, Edwin characterized by rainbow edge).
Selvedge is visible inside the outwards facing side of your jeans legs.

Washed jeans = jeans that in any way have been manipulated to look older, more creased, worn and so on. Stonewash and distressed/destroyed washes being the most popular.
